Are you unable to travel to our office?
The attorneys and staff of Horenstein, Nicholson & Blumenthal prefer to meet new clients at our office for the first consultation. We want to meet our new clients in person, and we want the client to meet us too. However, we recognize that many of our potential new clients are unable to travel to our office.
The most common reasons are that the client is in the hospital, is unable to drive or has no transportation at all, is unable to meet during normal business hours, or is often too busy with other obligations to find the time to come to our office for the initial consultation. We understand that some new clients cannot make it to our office, and therefore our firm offers free telephone consultations at times most convenient to the new client, including evenings and weekends.
Do you have an issue that requires immediate attention?
Many problems and issues that arise in workers’ compensation claims require speedy and sometimes immediate attention. In such cases, a telephone conference is often preferred to ensure prompt attention to the legal matter and to avoid damage to the client’s case.
Workers’ compensation claims involve numerous notice and deadline requirements that are easily overlooked by unrepresented injured workers. In such cases it is not unusual for new clients to have missed an appeal deadline or failed to have taken the correct action prior to the date of our first appointment. It is indeed unfortunate when this occurs because of the injured worker’s inability to see an attorney. This dilemma can be easily prevented by scheduling a free telephone consultation.
We’ll schedule your call at a time that’s convenient for you.
When you contact Horenstein, Nicholson & Blumenthal and request a free telephone consultation with an attorney, we will schedule the free telephone consultation at a time convenient for you and will call you at the scheduled time. The consultation will be of the same format and duration as an office conference. Your questions and concerns will be addressed.
If legal representation is needed and desired, we will review the fee arrangement, and explain our planned course of action for your case. The standard forms and releases needed for us to commence work will be promptly mailed to you. You will be provided with detailed instructions regarding these forms, and you will be provided with a prepaid postage return envelope for convenient return mailing of the forms.
If you have e-mail, a printer, and can open pdf format documents, we will e-mail the forms to expedite the process if you prefer. When you receive our first letter with the forms enclosed, you can call us if you have questions regarding any of the documents.
We encourage you to take advantage of this service.
If you prefer a free telephone conference for your first appointment, this is fine with us, and we encourage you to take advantage of this service if most convenient for you. Prior to the time of the free telephone conference, we recommend that you visit our Workers’ Compensation service page. You will find answers to many general questions about workers’ compensation claims. This will also enable us to dedicate more time to the specific issues and problems in your case at the time of the free telephone consultation.
