We offer free home and hospital consultations for your Ohio workers’ compensation claim.
The attorneys and staff of Horenstein, Nicholson & Blumenthal prefer to meet new clients at our office for the first consultation. When a potential new client is confined to a hospital or too physically impaired to leave home, we respect the client’s privacy and time alone with family and friends. We recognize that legal issues arising from a work injury are often not the major concern of the client during this period of time. Unfortunately, privacy and need for quite recovery time are intruded upon by claims adjusters, managed care organization case workers, unwanted solicitations from injury lawyers, and by others who ask questions and require decisions.
Don’t miss important deadlines.
In a workers’ compensation claim, once the claim is filed, deadline dates for various actions are created. Such deadlines must be addressed.
The first thirty to sixty days following the date of injury are often the most important in the life of the claim. During this time, the injured worker and his or her family are most vulnerable. Consequently, the injured worker is confused, lacks the resources to make sound decisions, and therefore is susceptible to making ill-advised decisions with long term adverse consequences. This dilemma can be easily prevented by scheduling a free telephone consultation, hospital consultation, or in-home consultation.
If you or a family member are facing this situation, your needs cannot be addressed and your rights protected without the advice and representation of qualified legal counsel. Therefore, if you want your free legal consultation by telephone or in your home or hospital room, Horenstein, Nicholson & Blumenthal will meet with you.
Are you unable to travel to our office?
We recognize that many of our potential new clients are unable to travel to our office. One of the most common reasons are that the client is in the hospital or confined to his or her home. Horenstein, Nicholson & Blumenthal understands that some new clients are physically too incapacitated and unable to make it to our office. Therefore, our firm offers free telephone consultations or in-home or hospital consultations at times most convenient to the new client, including evenings and weekends.
When you contact us and request a free consultation with an attorney, we will schedule the free consultation at a time convenient for you and will call you or meet with you at the scheduled time. The consultation will be of the same format and duration as an office conference. Your questions and concerns will be addressed. If legal representation is needed and desired, we will review the fee arrangement, and explain our planned course of action for your case.
What about the paperwork?
The standard forms and releases needed for us to commence work will be promptly mailed to you if the consultation is by telephone, you will be provided with detailed instructions regarding these forms, and you will be provided with a prepaid postage return envelope for convenient return mailing of the forms. When you receive our first letter with the forms enclosed, you can call us if you have questions regarding any of the documents.
If you prefer a free telephone conference or free conference in your hospital room or home for your first appointment, this is fine with us, and we encourage you to take advantage of this service if most convenient for you. Prior to the time of the free conference, we recommend that you visit our Workers’ Compensation section on the website. You will find answers to many general questions about workers’ compensation claims. This will also enable us to dedicate more time to the specific issues and problems in your case at the time of the free consultation.
