Attorney Emily Zainey joined Horenstein, Nicholson & Blumenthal in 2017 after five years of general practice. She was born on Wright Patterson Air Force Base and graduated from Greenon High School in 2004. In 2008, Emily graduated Cum Laude earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Miami University with dual majors in English Literature and Creative Writing. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Michigan State University College of Law, graduated Cum Laude, and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2012. She is a member of the Dayton and Ohio State Bar Associations, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates.
She is admitted to practice before the Social Security Administration, Veterans’ Administration, State Courts of Ohio, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
While in law school, Emily was a senior associate for the Michigan State University International Law Review and a member of the Michigan State University College of Law American Inn of Court, which brings attorneys of all experience levels together to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills.
Emily represents disabled claimants at hearings in front of Administrative Law judges throughout Ohio and at all stages of appeals.
