Job Summary:
The Appeals Case Manager is responsible for supporting the management and progression of Social Security Disability claims pending before the Appeals Council and Federal Court. This position assists with appeal coordination, procedural compliance, deadline tracking, client communication, medical development, decision processing, remand administration, and court-related case management.
Working closely with supervising attorneys and the Senior Appeals Case Manager, the Appeals Case Manager follows established appellate procedures to ensure claims are accurately documented, required filings are completed timely, clients remain informed, and matters continue to progress through each stage of the appellate process.
This position is designed for an individual developing specialized knowledge of Social Security appellate procedures and Federal Court case management. The Appeals Case Manager is expected to recognize procedural or case-specific issues requiring additional review and appropriately escalate those matters to the Senior Appeals Case Manager, supervising attorney, or Director of Operations.
